PARKING TICKET FOR ON-CALL GP

A GP faces a £75 penalty for illegal parking during an emergency call – even though his car was displaying an official permit.
Ben Claybrook, 34, got a £25 ticket visiting a patient with breathing difficulties.
Parking officials in Scarborough, North Yorks, said the permit did not cover the car park where he left his vehicle.
After two failed appeals, the penalty has risen to £75.
The GP is now appealing to a tribunal.

IF THIS WASN'T SO SERIOUS IT WOULD BE LAUGHABLE.
WHEN WILL THIS MADNESS END?

Yorkshire Vicar Advises Hard-Pressed Parishioners to Shoplift

The Rev Tim Jones is advising the poorer members of his congregation to shoplift.
They should do it only from big shops, the Rev Tim Jones said, and it would probably be best if they did not take any more than they needed.

Apart from the fact that the "Ten Commandments" state quite clearly "Thou Shalt Not Steal" doesn't the Rev have the intelligence to understand that it is the poor who will lose out if this becomes widespread?
Who does he think pays for the loss of revenue from shoplifting?
I'm currently surviving on Disability Allowance and my weekly food bill is high enough as it is.
And it's a known fact that the majority of shoplifters steal luxury items not basic foodstuffs.

The Reverend Tim Jones should be arrested for inciting a crime and then tossed out of the church.
